Practical Exam:

At the same Exam Centre where theory will be conducted.

Documents Required:

  • Certificate of Date of Birth,
  • Certificate for SC/ST (in case of SC/ST),
  • Proof of Residence,
  • Photocopy of Marksheet of Class X Board Examination (in case of Sr. Sec.),
  • Certificate from the Employer for Ex-Servicemen,
  • Certificate from a Government Hospital for a handicapped person
  • Original failure/compartment Marksheet of
    class X or XII for TOC
  • Transfer Certificate from the last school attended or Self Certificate regarding educational qualifications (in case of Secondary)
Senior Secondary:
Attested copy of the Certificate of Matriculation/Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth.







Secondary Course:
(i) Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for all born on or after 26.01.1989. OR
(ii) Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant’s date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant.
In case of Govt. schools the transfer certificate/school leaving certificate should be signed by the Principal while in the case of Private schools it should also be countersigned by the competent education authority of
State/or District Education Officer.

Mode of Payment:

  • The fee can be deposited On-line through Credit Card (Master or VISA) or Debit Card(VISA Only of selected bank).
  • Through Bank Draft of of any Nationalised Bank of India only in favour of Secretary, NIOS payable at respective Regional Centre for Stream1 (except For Foreign students and students belonging to 56 & 99 APO) and payable at NOIDA/DELHI for Stream 2,3 & 4 within 5 days of registration Online.

Eligibility:

15 years as on 31st July, 2009 (Born on or before 31.07.1994).

Secondary Course

  • Ist Block: 14 years as on 31st July, 2010 (Born on or before 31.07.1996)
  • IInd Block: 14 years as on 31st January 2011 (born on or before 31/01/1997)

Senior Secondary Course

  • Ist Block: 15 years as on 31st July 2010 (born on or before 31/07/1995)
  • IInd Block: 15 years as on 31st January 2011 (born on or before 31/01/1996)

Educational Qualification:

Certificate of Class VIII passed, or Self Certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Medium of Examination:

The question paper is bilinual (Hindi & English) in Secondary and Sr.Secondary for learners opted for Hindi/English medium of study. However, learners are free to write their answer in any of the scheduled language. This instructions are also given in the examination instructions of Answer Sheet. For learners opted for Regional mediums or Urdu as medium of study, they will get the question paper in the respective midium only.

Five subjects with either one or two languages from Group A and the remaining subjects from Group B. Two additional subject can be taken from either of the two groups.

Examination of the following subjects 203,204,205,207,208,210,228,231,232,233,235,236,237 will be held on same day. Subjects with asterisk *have theory as well as practical work.

Candidates can take:

  • Any subject offered by NIOS in place of Physical Education.
  • Word Processing in place of Informatics Practice.
